1AN ACT concerning state officers; requiring the office of each state officer
2to keep and maintain records of information concerning all travel
3locations and expenses of the state officer that were paid or reimbursed
4by the state during each fiscal year and provide such records of
5information upon request by a member of the public.

7Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:
8Section 1. (a) For purposes of this section, "state officer" means the
9governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, secretary of state, state
10treasurer and commissioner of insurance.
11(b) Each office of a state officer shall keep and maintain a full and
12complete record of information concerning all travel locations and
13expenses of each such state officer that were paid or reimbursed by the
14state during each fiscal year. Each such office shall provide such records of
15information relating to the travel locations and expenses of the state officer
16upon request by a member of the public.
17(c) The provisions of K.S.A. 45-221, and amendments thereto, or any
18other state law that limits the disclosure of records of state officers, shall
19not apply to the records of information required to be kept and maintained
20by subsection (b).
21Sec. 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
22publication in the statute book.
