The hearing on HB2045 was opened by the Chair.  Assistant Revisor, Ma, presented an overview of the bill, and stood for questions.  (Attachment 6)  

Eric Turek, Director of Government Relations, KDI, gave proponent testimony for this bill;  the bill essentially reduces the size of three boards that the Commissioner of Insurance appoints the members of; allows current members to serve out remainder of 2025, before reappointment or removal; allows commissioner the ability to remove appointed members for inefficiency, neglect of duty or malfeasance.  The conferee stood for questions.   (Attachment 7)
