Tom Stiles, Kansas Department of Health and Environment, (Attachment 2)  Mr. Stiles responded to questions regarding the volume of annual permits, backlogs, and the total amount of yearly permit issued. Mr. Stiles responded to questions on how other states are doing and how our permit procedures compare. He indicated the proposed bill should reduce permit backlogs.
