The Chair opened the hearing on HB2145.

Revisor Jason Long briefed the committee on the bill (Attachment 1). He explained that the bill would add a new subsection (b) to set the Butler County Fair Board at 15 members.

William Johnson, Butler County Administrator, (Attachment 2) testified as a proponent to the bill.  He explained that current statute requires 29 members with an additional 6 at large positions making it difficult to fill board positions.

Chairman Bergquist closed the hearing on HB2145.
