Shannon Kimball, Kansas Association of School Boards, spoke in opposition to the bill as her organization opposes imposing arbitrary limits on taxes and valuations. Tax policy must provide sustainable and reliable funding for the public schools based on the actual costs of educating students. Ms. Kimball responded to questions from Committee members. (Attachment 11)
There being no further conferees, Chairperson Billinger closed the hearing on SB 181.
