Chairperson Dietrich opened the hearing on HB2050. Revisor Eileen Ma gave the Committee a summary of the bill and stood for questions. (Attachment 4)

Eric Turek of the Department of Insurance spoke in favor of the bill.(Attachment 5) He mentioned that this bill was similar to the one previously heard in Committee as SB24 and the House did not amend the bill either. It gives the Insurance Commissioner the ability to lower fees to reflect their cost of doing business. He answered questions from the Committee.

There was no other testimony.
