The Chairman opened the Final Action on HB2372.

Mike Heim, Office of the Revisor of Statutes gave a briefing on HB2372. The bill would designate Wichita as the designated fallen firefighters memorial site and would create a new council.

Chairman Kessler offered an amendment that did three things: (Attachment 8) designate the official site of the fallen firefighters museum to be at at 1300 S. Broadway, Wichita, Kansas 67211; add a representative of the Wichita Park board; and add a representative of the Kansas state funeral assistance team be appointed by the governor.

Representative Schmoe moved, seconded by Representative McNorton to approve the amendments as proposed. Motion carried.

Representative L. Ruiz moved, Representative Miller seconded to pass HB2372, as amended. Motion carried.
