Chair Alley opened the hearing on HB 2338.

Staff provided a brief overview of the bill. (Attachment 1)

Representatives Pat Proctor spoke in favor of the bill. (Attachment 2) Two years ago HB 2125 was enacted into law to provide the necessary guest permits required for out of state body art providers to attend and practice at these events. Unfortunately there were problems with the implementation of this law, this bill is a fix to that problem so communities and local providers can finally take advantage of the incredible opportunity that hosting talented individuals from out of state that conventions can provide.
