Oral Proponent Testimony:

Joseph House, Paramedic, Executive Director, Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) testified that the EMS Board is the lead agency in Kansas responsible for protecting the public through effective oversight of all things EMS related, including ambulance services, ambulances, EMS providers, and EMS educational entities.  Currently, there are 172 EMS agencies across Kansas.  (Attachment 9)

Dave Johnston, Kansas Emergency Medical Services Association (KEMSA) offered support for the proposed legislation in HB2280, as it represents a crucial update to our state's EMS statutes, aligning them with current standards of practice and innovation in emergency medical services. (Attachment 10)

The proponents answered questions from Senators Owens and Clifford.   Chairperson Gossage pointed to the written-only proponent testimony.
