Alan Conroy of KPERS spoke in favor of the bill. (Attachment 5) He shared that this bill makes technical and clarifying updates to statute. It allows the KPERS Board to elect the Vice-Chair rather than being appointed by the Chair. It fixes an outdated actuarial rate for the Kansas Police and Fire system and repeals redundant sections of statutes.
