The Chair opened the hearing on HB2605. 

Chris Waggoner provided the committee with  a briefing on the bill. (Attachment 1) 

Representative Ken Rahjes, gave proponent testimony before the committee that the name of this stretch of U.S. Highway 36 would be an acknowledgment to Deputy Sheriff Gaede's sacrifice as one of courage, service and commitment to others. (Attachment 2)

Sheriff Kyle Pinkerton gave proponent testimony that the memorial highway would serve as a lasting and visible reminder of  Brandon Gaede's service and  ultimate sacrifice to the community he loved and was dedicated to serving. (Attachment 3)
