Natalie Scott, Revisor's Office, provided an overview of the bill and stood for questions (Attachment 8)
Shane Rosson, Kansas Judicial Council, provided testimony in support of the bill. He stated this bill allows a court to appoint a trustee to manage the property of a person who is unexpectedly absent. The trustee may pay bills and protect the property so the property is not lost or damaged while the person is absent, helping to prevent financial harm and the person's rights. (Attachment 9)
