Chairperson Smith noted the Kansas Department of Revenue requested a technical amendment for HB2712 to keep the state of Kansas in compliance with the Streamline Sales Tax Agreement.

Adam Siebers provided an overview on the amendment for HB2712  that K.S.A. 12-187(h) applies to the state tax.  He noted the Kansas Department of Revenue wanted to apply to 12-191 which is the local equivalent.  The technical amendment conforms to current practice.

Representative Helgerson moved, seconded by Representative Sawyer to amend HB2712. (Attachment 20)  Motion carries.

Representative Helgerson moved, seconded by Representative Essex, the Committee recommends HB2712 favorable for passage as amended.  Motion carries.

Chairperson Smith adjourned the meeting.
