Chairperson Petersen opened the Hearing on HB2542. Stephanie Ellis, Staff Revisor gave an explainer of the bill. (Attachment 1) There were no questions.

Representative Marty Long testified as a proponent. (Attachment 2) His testimony told of Bill Tucker's life as a farmer and rancher in Morton County. Bill was proud that he lived his entire 93 year life in Morton County. He was very civic minded and served on boards for the Morton County Hospital, a Trustee on the Kansas Hospital Association and was a delegate for the American Hospital Association. He was also a charter member of First National Bank of Elkhart and served as Board Chairman of Heartland Tri-State Bank of Elkhart, Rolla, Attica and Arlington. This highway dedication will help memorialize his contributions for those that knew him but also for future generations.
