Adam Siebers, Office of Revisor of Statutes, provided an overview for HB2036 that provides a
subtraction modification for Kansas income tax for amounts received as compensation for serving in the armed forces.

Representative Hoheisel moved to recommend HB2036 favorably for passage, seconded by Representative Howerton.

Representative Butler moved, seconded by Representative Helgerson to amend HB2036 (Attachment 10)

Representative Hoheisel moved, seconded by Representative Howerton, to provide the Revisor the technical ability to update the sub reference from 2024 sub to 2025 sub and recommend HB2036 as amended favorably for passage.
