Chairwoman Warren opened the hearing on HB2613.

Dahnika Short, Revisor's Office, gave an overview of the bill and stood for questions. (Attachment 10)

Michelle McCormick, Executive Director for the Kansas Coalition Against Sexual & Domestic Violence, provided testimony in support of the bill.  She states this bill would streamline the fee structure and payment of the examination of the victim by having it all processed by the Kansas Crime Victims Compensation Board (CVCB). (Attachment 11)

Kristen Czugala, Division Chief, Victim Services Division, Office of the Attorney General, provided testimony in support of the bill. She states this bill shifts a financial burden from Kansas counties (funded by tax payers), to the CVCB (funded by offenders).   (Attachment 12)
