Jody Fowler testified in support of the legislation. She spoke of a situation regarding her mother and discharge plans from a hospital, that did not include her, as her mother's guardian. (Attachment 2) (Attachment 3)
The conferee responded to questions.
Tara Mays, Kansas Hospital Association, suggested the legislation is duplication. She stated hospitals are required to meet guidelines, standards, and conditions as outlined by both federal and state law, when developing discharge plans for patients. (Attachment 4)
