Minutes for SB197 - Committee on Commerce

Extending the sunset date of the STAR bonds financing act to July 1, 2030.

The Chair stated that because he was on the prevailing side of the Senator Tyson's amendment would make a motion to reopen the amendment.

Senator Alley moved the motion. Senator Blew seconded the motion. The motion failed.

Senator Tyson provided a brief overview of the amendment. (Attachment 1)

The Committee was called to the floor for a vote. The Committee recessed at 2:40 pm. The Committee reconvened at 2:47 pm.

Staff provided Senator Dietrich's amendment. The amendment is vertical and time limited and new section 1 and 2. (Attachment 2)

Senator Dietrich withdrew the amendment.

Staff provided Senator Tyson's amendment.

The Committee was called to the floor for a roll call vote, and recessed at 3:05 pm.The Committee reconvened at 3:13 pm.

Senator Tyson provided a brief overview of the amendment. (Attachment 3)

Senator Tyson moved the amendment. Senator Kloos seconded the motion. The motion carried.

SB 197 as a substitute bill.

Senator Corson moved to pass Senate Substitute for SB 197 out favorably. Senator Klemp seconded the motion. The motion carried.
