Representative Lewis moved, seconded by Representative Schlingensiepen, to amend the bill to (1) reduce the maximum sentence for a juvenile who uses or possesses a gun during the commission of certain crimes; (2) requires a moderate or high-risk assessment in order to sentence a juvenile to a juvenile correction facility; and (3) makes other clarifying changes. Motion to amend passed.
Representative Lewis expressed support for adding the contents of HB2325, as amended into contents of HB2329.
