Chair Kessler opened the hearing on HB2502.

Mike Heim gave a briefing of the (Attachment8)amendment which would allow discounted resident senior combination hunting and fishing passes to residents of this state who are 65 years of age or older. Also, the amendment increases the maximum age to qualify for Kansas kids lifetime combination hunting and fishing licenses. The amendment also removes the end date on the licenses. He stood for questions.

Representative Corbet gave testimony (Attachment9)in support of the bill He stood for questions.

Representative Carpenter gave testimony (Attachment10) in support of the bill He stood for questions.

Jake George, Director, KS Department of Wildlife & Parks provided (Attachment11) neutral testimony on the bill. He stood for questions.
