Assistant Revisor Ma provided a brief overview of the bill, and stood for questions. HB2551 enacts the Kansas Pharmacy Services Administrative Organization (PSAO) Act, authorizing and providing a regulatory framework for PSAOs, providing for the disclosure of ownership interests, requiring certain contractual provisions between PDAOs and the entities with which they contract. (Attachment 1)
The Assistant Revisor stood for questions, which included; were there comparable bills being considered for introduction and why the Kansas Department of Insurance chose not to provide testimony.
There were no proponents or neutrals present.

Subsequent the closing of the hearing on HB2551; the Chair recognized Representative Meyer who requested the introduction of 26rs3328, concerning health and healthcare, relating to prescription drugs, providing coverage for insulin drugs and diabetes management devices; providing price limitations and requirements therefor under health insurance plans. There was no objection to the introduction.
