Chairperson Gossage opened the hearing on SB431. Jenna Moyer, Assistant Revisor, Kansas Office of Revisor of Statutes, briefed the committee on the bill. (Attachment1) Ms. Moyer stood for questions from the committee.

Chairperson Gossage introduced Alexandra Blasi who expressed her support for this bill. (Attachment2) She stated in her testimony that the Board of Pharmacy has no concerns authorizing pharmacy technicians to practice remotely under the direct, electronic supervision of a pharmacist.

Chairperson Gossage introduced John Monroe who expressed his support for this bill. (Attachment3)  He testified that the bill reflects how modern healthcare teams operate and provides pharmacies a responsible tool to improve workflow, enhance staffing flexibility, and better serve Kansas patients, while maintaining appropriate safeguards and accountability. He urged the committee support the bill.

The conferees stood for questions from the committee.
