8-1,117. Any person or owner who willfully files, or knowingly presents a fraudulent proration fleet registration application for the purpose of obtaining or attempting to obtain or to assist any other person to obtain a credit or refund for reduction of liability of proration fleet registration fees applicable under this act shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500) or by imprisonment in the county jail for not less than thirty (30) days nor more than six (6) months or by both such fine and imprisonment. |
