25-617. The secretary of state shall prescribe the ballot format but the state offices part of the official general ballot for national and state offices shall follow the national offices part substantially as is shown in this section. STATE OFFICES To vote for the pair of candidates, make a cross or check mark in the square at the left of the names of the candidates for governor and lieutenant governor. To vote for persons for governor and lieutenant governor whose names are not printed on the ballot, write the names of such persons in the blank spaces and make a cross or check mark in the square to the left.
