Chairperson Hilderbrand opened the hearing on HB2115.
Jenna Moyer, Staff Revisor gave an overview of the bill.
Mike Fonkert presented his proponent testimony. He stated that establishing a joint committee on child welfare system oversight is an important step in providing the accountability the foster care system needs.He added that the foster care system in Kansas is not working for too many children and needs more oversight, accountability and legislative problem solving. (Attachment 1)
