Chairperson Warren opened the hearing on HB2473.
Jason Thompson, Senior Assistant Revisor, provided an overview of the bill and responded to questions from Committee members. (Attachment 1)
The Honorable Mark Simpson testified in support of HB2473, stating the bill would allow the Douglas County District Court to use the same rules that apply to Johnson and Sedgwick counties creating a more efficient use of time by allowing two judges, instead of requiring all six judges, to serve on the law library board. (Attachment 2) Judge Simpson responded to questions from Committee members.
